Gigahog reads your disk to measure it. What it finds stays on your Mac.
The app
- Scans, indexes, growth history and forecasts are stored in
~/Library/Application Support/Gigahogand nowhere else. - There is no account, no analytics and no crash reporting.
- The only network request Gigahog makes is to check for updates: it downloads
gigahog.com/releases/appcast.json. That request carries no identifier beyond what any web request does (your IP address and the app version in the user agent). - The trial start date is kept in your login Keychain and app preferences, on your Mac.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no tracking scripts, and no third-party requests: fonts and images are served from this site.
- The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront). Request logging is turned off.
- We don't collect email addresses, and there is no contact form or mailing list.
